The New York Pants
Word has it the Knicks have just traded for Nazr Mohammed and Tim Thomas, giving up Doleac and Van Horn. Isiah is a shrewd, cunning bastard. He is well aware of the two major obstacles facing the Knicks: age and too many fat contracts. The two new acquisitions are young, athletic, and full of potential. I personally do not expect much from Thomas, but he should prove a capable, cheap replacement for Van Horn, whose style was too similar to Houston's anyway.
Mohammed, on the other hand, has some serious potential. He is young and desperate for playing time. Perusing his stats on Yahoo! Sports, it seems like he pulls in 10+ rebounds in most games where he is given more than 20 minutes. Given Dikembe's age and Kurt Thomas' lack of height, I think he should be given some serious consideration for the starting spot.
