As you may have noticed, we here at Bloody Murder are very fond of martial overtones. Actually, that statement is a complete exaggeration. Metaphysical conceits generally irritate us unless they involve Del That Funkee Homosapien. Then we are naturally huge fans.


That being said, we are soldiers of a kind. Our conflict of choice? The Culture Wars. The forces involved? Too numerous to count. Allow me to list some notable skirmishes we have witnessed and fought in:

• Europop vs. Britney Spears
• Tupac vs. Biggie
• Tom Delay vs. Not Sucking
• Hugo Chavez vs. A Horde of American Ninjas
  
• Ron Artest vs. The Entire Sane World

It was this perspective that lead me to my present epiphany: the ultimate purpose of Bloody Murder. In the past, this blog has been used to write illegible love poems, complain about the politics of the Bush administration and define the current state of popular culture. Guess which of these particular topics was most entertaining for our readers. Politics, you say? Allow me to spit some knowledge at you, Wrongety McWrongwrong: You are WRONG!

Clearly, commentary on popular culture is what we enjoy and excel at. As Supreme Leader of the Nation of Bloody Murder, I hereby proclaim a new age. No longer shall we struggle to find something to write about; instead, we shall relate all subjects back to contemporary music, cinema and entertainment.

So, in conclusion, business as usual. Except that I pledge to update more and complain about girls less frequently.
